How this compares

Media platforms are built for teams that need a full asset pipeline. If all you need is "make these files smaller", you are paying for the parts you don't use.

Pricing FAQ

Why is the free tier actually unlimited?

Because it costs us nothing. The free tool runs in your browser — there is no server doing work per image, so there is no meter to run out of. We only charge for the parts that do run on our infrastructure: the API, HEIC decoding and scheduled batch jobs.

What counts as one image?

One input file plus each output variant it produces. A single 3000 px photo exported at three widths counts as three. We would rather state that plainly than bury it in a fair-use clause.

What happens if I go over my limit?

Nothing breaks. Requests keep working and we email you; the next month either you move up a tier or we bill the overage at $0.50 per 1,000 images. No instant cut-off in the middle of a deploy.

Can I use it on client work?

Yes. Pro and Scale include commercial use. The free browser tool also has no usage restriction on output files.

Do you offer a self-hosted or one-time licence?

For teams that cannot send images to a third party, yes — a docker image with a perpetual licence. Ask via the contact link and tell us roughly what volume you handle.

Still deciding?

Try the free tool first. If it solves it, you may never need to pay us — that is a fine outcome.
